Rise of the Anointed book 1

The anointed time has come.

Demarcus Bartlett recently discovered that he can outrun a sports car. Lily Beausoleil has noticed that light is behaving strangely around her lately. They’re two of fifty teens who have been invited to the Launch Conference, an exclusive influencer gathering led by a young, charismatic tech genius. For Demarcus, Launch may offer a way up for him and his single mom, and for Lily, it might be a chance to overcome her grief after a terrible family tragedy.

As they attend sessions and meet the other youth, they begin to suspect the conference is about more than tech. The leader is searching for teens with powers so he can use them to impact the world. A mysterious custodian named John claims to have an explanation for their gifts, a supernatural one that hints at an ancient prophecy and an ongoing battle between light and darkness.

Will Demarcus and Lily choose to use their gifts for good or for evil?

Fractures

Rise of the Anointed book 2

Can the Anointed be fractured by a new enemy?

Comic books don't provide a blueprint to help teenage superheroes live a normal life. After the crazy events of the Launch Conference, Demarcus Bartlett and his gifted friends are trying to figure out what to do with their abilities.

Their mentor, John, counsels them to use wisdom and develop their faith more. But when Demarcus, Lily, Harry, and Sarah Jane are attacked by mysterious teens with powers of their own, they realize a bigger battle awaits.

As they try to uncover their attackers' secrets, they still have to navigate high school, family drama, and growing romantic feelings.

The Anointed teens will need to stand together against multiple enemies converging on San Francisco, or the fractures in their lives may consume them.

Anointed

Rise of the Anointed book 3

The Anointed have been fractured.

After the battle of Hyde Pier, Demarcus, Lily, and Harry are wounded and demoralized - while Sarah Jane is missing and they fear the worst about their mentor John.

The Archai have unleashed an ancient evil spreading rage across San Francisco, an evil that can even ensnare superpowered teens.

The Anointed must race against time to find Sarah Jane and confront the darkness engulfing the city. But first they must harness the power of forgiveness to heal the fractures in their lives. If they can learn to use their gifts unified, they may have a chance. And help may arise from an unsuspecting corner, if they can survive the corruption of the shadows.

Is there a better way to grab the attention of teens than to mix social media, super powers, celebrities, and some rocking parties together into a giant conspiracy?
I honestly don’t think so, and for the first time since I read The Chronicles of Narnia, I found myself wanting to be sucked into this book, trials and all!

A Fork in the Road

A Fork in the Road

Hey friends. I hope things are going well. Today I get to talk about a fork in the road. Life is full of changes, and we have to learn to adapt with them. As I tell people, God is more interested in our character and journey than the destination. As we walk the road,...

Hello friends! I thought I had gotten an idiot-proof website builder for Wordpress. Turns out you just need the right type of idiot to mess things up ;). Thankfully, I found Jake Doberenz of Theophany Media. He was able to wrangle my messy site into something...
